The 2008 H2 comes with a completely redesigned, more luxurious interior. And hard as it may be to believe, for 2008, the all-conquering H2 SUV is more capable than ever. There's more engine power than before, with a completely new 6.2L Vortec V8 that generates a tremendous 393 hp -- an increase of about 20% over the previous engine.

The 2008 H2 SUV is also more fuel-efficient than before, thanks to a Hydra-Matic 6L80 six-speed automatic transmission with tap-up/tap-down shifting and advanced technologies like variable valve timing (VVT). The new powertrain combination helps the H2 deliver an additional 1,500 pounds (680 kg) in towing capacity – an increase from 6,500 pounds (2,948 kg) to 8,000 pounds (3,629 kg).
